Determine the limit of the trusted location office 2010

Office 2010 offers several settings, so you can restrict or control the behavior of a trusted location. Use the following guidelines to determine how to configure these settings.
Settings name: Allow mixed-use policy and user locations
Description: This setting controls by the user, the OCT and Group Policy to define a trusted location, or must be defined by Group Policy alone. By default, the user can be any location designated as a trusted location, the computer can be used in combination created by the user, the OCT to create and Group Policy to create a trusted location.
Impact: If you disable this setting, is disabled by Group Policy created a trusted location, users can not create a new trusted location in the Trust Center. This is not a global setting. You must separately for each application in Access 2010, Excel 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Visio 2010 and Word 2010 to configure this setting.
Impact: Disabling this setting will disable the network share in a trusted location, and prohibits the user to select the Trust Center “allows a trusted location on the network check box. If you disable this setting would cause some disruption to the user in a trusted location defined in the Trust Center. If you disable this setting, and the user tries to network share, designated as a trusted location, it will display a warning, notify the user’s current security settings does not allow you to create a trusted location for a remote path or network path. Disable a trusted location
Microsoft Office 2010 allows you to disable “trusted location” feature set. For each application to Access 2010, Excel 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Visio 2010 and Word 2010 to configure this setting. Use the following guidelines to determine whether they should use this setting.
Settings: Disable all trusted locations
Description: This setting allows administrators to disable for each application “trusted location” function. By default, the “trusted location” feature is enabled, users can create a trusted location.
Impact: Enabling this setting disables all trusted locations, including the following in a trusted location:
The installation process is created by default in a trusted location.
Using the OCT to create a trusted location.
The user through the Trust Center to create a trusted location.
Use Group Policy to create a trusted location.
Enabling this setting also prevents the user to configure a trusted location settings in the Trust Center. If you enable this setting, be sure to notify users that they can not use a “trusted location” function. If a user from a trusted location to open the file, and you enable this setting, the user may start in the message bar to see the warning, and may require them to respond to the message bar warning to enable ActiveX controls, add-ins and VBA macros and other content.
