If you want to control the behavior of add-ons, or prevent users from running the add-ins, you can modify the Microsoft Office 2010 add-in settings.

Add plan to set
Microsoft Office 2010 professional offers a number of related settings, allowing you to control the behavior of add-ons. By configuring these settings, you can do the following:
• per-application disabling add-ins.
• Request by a trusted publisher sign the add-in.
• Disable notifications for unsigned add items.
In addition, per-application configuration can only add set. There is no global add-ins settings.
The settings discussed in this article for more information, see “Office 2010 in the security policies and settings.” About how the Office Customization Tool (OCT) and Office 2010 Administrative Templates to configure security settings, see “Configuring Office 2010 security.”
By default, installed and registered add-ins without any user intervention to run, and not relevant to the user a warning. Installed and registered add-ins might include:
• Component Object Model (COM) add-
• Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) add-
• Automation Add-ins
• RealTimeData (RTD) server
• Application Add-ins (such as. Wll,. Xll and. Xlam file)
• XML expansion pack
• XML Stylesheet
This default behavior in Microsoft Office 2003 Microsoft Office system or earlier, select “Trust all installed add-ins and templates” setting.
On a per-application disabling add-ins
Office 2010 provides a relevant setting that allows you to disable add-ins. Use the following guidelines to determine

whether to use this setting.
Set Name: Disable all Application Add-ins
Note: This setting disables all add-ons. By default, all installed and registered add-ins can be run.
Impact: Enabling this setting will disable add-ins, and does not notify the user has disabled the add-ins. Enabling this setting may seriously affect the use of add-on user. If a user installs a key business add-ins, may not enable this setting.
Criteria: Most organizations can use this to set the default configuration without changing this setting.
